It's too late....

I have to put this in print. It happens every elfing year..........Christmas is gonna be late!!!!
Yep.........late. As in we're-not-even-close-to-being-ready late. All the packages will arrive at their destination just a wee bit late this year. Lovee and I decided.....late......to make Christmas this year. Well......Lovee is the toy maker and I'm the finisher. ....the helper elf.
So, If birthdays aren't over untill the last card is opened....then Christmas must work the same way ...right?
Hope so.
Hopefully everyone will think it was worth the wait.

Next years gifts will be started in January!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously. I know I say that everyelfing year....but this time I'm really going to do it. I haven't even been able to watch my favorite Christmas movies yet!! That's just wrong!!!!!!!! UGH!!!

On a happy note..........
My sisterlittle and her daughter AND her son who lives in NewYork will be here!!! Woo-hoo!! The parentals are soooo excited that Dad loops about it everyday. There could be worse subjects to loop about though. :)
Sisterlittle is in the process of getting a divorce after 29 years.....:( We think this family time will be a much needed distraction for her. Hugs always help right?

We haven't seen her son since he went to NY about 4 years ago........so I'm really anxious to see him and do some extra huggins and squeezes. I may throw in some smooches just to watch him squirm....lol

Our weather has been severely whacked lately. And because of this the parentals insist I call them every-elfing-night when I get home so they'll know I got here safe. I know it's a little thing...it reassures them I'll be there again the next day....but really!!! I just have to bitch about it a wee bit though. I'm 50-elfing-4 and have to call my mommy and daddy. Sheesh..........I know.,...don't say it......I'm just venting. It's a wee thing but if I haven't called them by the time THEY think I should have then they call me. Because of the ice storm we had...again..... only not as bad as last year..........it took me over an hour to get home the other night. Usually it's a 25 minute drive. Lovee was struggling to get the truck in the driveway so I helped him with the ice-melt spread before I called them. Well........they called here and were almost in a panic because I hadn't called first! Explanations were given but it really didn't matter......
It is what it is!
Oh well...........
And as I sit here..........doing my blob......I'm thinking I really should be doing...this and this and this..........but am I ? No...........I'm venting to my friends....my special-not-in-real-life-friends-but-I-know-them-anyway-friends. My blobbies. :)
Thanks for listening.
I've got lots of luvs for all of you!

Ok, I'm through venting.

You may now return to your regular scheduled blobs.
:)

You know what? It's quite alright you'll be having a late Christmas! And, usually, most everyone loves getting a little something later AFTER the actual holidays! I mean, who doesn't?

Happy Christmas, TT!

Well, I'd gladly give up any christmas gift shenanigans if it meant you'd get to watch a holiday movie. By the way, what's a "movie" anyway? I think I remember those..but haven't seen one in like 14 months. :)

You know what's REALLY funny? I am the same way about my mom. I make her call me when she gets home. Or at least 3 times on her drive home to TN. In fact, I bought her a cell phone and mailed it to her so she could call me!! I know, crazy biotch!! It's just cuz I love her though...like I do you, and they do you...there's a sprinkler of love for you dahhhling! mwahh!

TT,, can't wait until the day our children are on here blobbing about how they are 50+ years old and we still make them call home.. ha ha ha...

Can you imagine what our children are going to blog about us in our old age... it's not gonna be pretty..

I can hear the Princess now...

You will not believe what The Fairy Godmother did today!! and then.. a two page blog.. ha ha

Have a Merry Christmas Babe and drag it out as long as you can.. cause just plain old crappy cold yucky long winter follows it.. with nothing to look forward to until EASTER...

I'm never ready for the Holidays. They sneak up on me and then I realize nobody had a gift yet. I'm sure everything will go just fine. Have a wonderful time with the family.

I'm ready!!! Oops. Didn't mean to brag....

I'm also pooped and exhausted.

Divorce after 29 years? Geeze. My Dad and brothers went through that after he was married to my middle brother's mom for 22 years. She up'd and decided she didn't want to be a part of the family anymore.

She really kinda' wacked out. We are all better off now but it was tough getting through it and I still wonder if she will ever find what it was she thought was missing? Or, if one day she will wake up in a panicked sweat wondering to herself, "What have I DONE?!"

Anyhow, the Holidays are about family so the visit will really be good to bring up spirits!

I make my Mommy call me! And, my Daddy too! LOL!

I'm with you on the late Christmas. The main packages (4 of them, to 4 different places) went out today, and with priority shipping will be there in time. The rest of them will wait. Stuff I'm making isn't started yet. Neither are the cookies, the Stollen, the decorating-that-is-not-the-tree ...
My sanity saver and time waster is blobbing. It makes me happy. ;)

Oh, forgot to add: the 12 days of Christmas keep on going to the 6th of January (Epiphany). It's okay to side with the wise men, right??

I'm not ready for Christmas either. I can't find the wrapping paper or the tape I just bought last week. Ugh!!!!

Hope yours is merry. :)

Heh...heh...heh...I can relate. I do the same thing. But "better late than never" as my dear "late" FIL used to say!

being late is the ultimate sign of being cool

the parentals worry and that's sweet - trust me - being worried about is a good problem to have
