Me: So, have you seen anymore Tigers Dad ?
Dad: Oh yea...( long pause)...now there's a leopard though.
Me: A leopard? How do you know it's a leopard?
Dad: 'cause of its spots.
Me: So, what does the leopard do?
Dad: It just runs along side the car with the tigers...they just play around.
Me: ( smiling) I think that's so cool.
Dad: ( perking up a bit) You do? Why?
Me: Well, how often do people get to see tigers and leopards running around? I think it would make the car trips more exciting anyway.
Dad: ( eyes wide open and smiling) Oh they do that alright. Geez.

Awww - I bet it feels good to have someone say that's ok. I bet he's been stressing about it and a little afraid to tell you. I have thought about that ever since Meno said that - I'd really like to see tigers myself, oh - and really really like to see a leopard.
etk: ;)
I agree with ETK... probably makes him feel a bit better that you'd rather the entertainment then a boring ride. You're so sweet...
This is the part where I'd squish you if I could.
I think it's great that the tigers and leopards are playing together. Lots of acceptance and tolerance there. Very nice. ;-)
Hey - thanks for the suggestion to contact Monkeys friend about paris hotels!
cheers!!
you always inspire squishes and good, warm feelings. the folks who comment here are as kind as you.
I agree that it must be such a relief to the Dad to just know it's OK and jay always makes me smile.
It is sad, but at the same time kind of funny.
It is good of you to agree with him...
Monkey: cyber squisher work for me :)
Jay: I agree..gotta accept it..it's part of his world right?
December: Yea..etk is the most traveled person I've ever known..She'll help bunches!
dianne:I have the best bloggie friends ever! I can always count of them and YOU to lift me up when needed. And Jay...he's the bomb for sure!!! And cute too!
reh: sad and funny..that's it exactly. It's usually easier to agree with him on most things...it makes him smile. :)
I was going to say in your last post about this, that I'd be happy to see tigers playing. Or I'd rather see tigers playing than zombies or demons. But I didn't want to sound trite - you know, sometimes the written word doesn't come across the way you want it to & I didn't want to offend. But really, I'm sure as etk mentioned, it's a relief to your dad to know it's okay to see tigers.
jen: you trite??? never.. ;) I know I'd like to be reassured that seeing things was ok...especially when I didn't know if it WAS ok. Maybe one day we'll all see something odd and someone will tell us it's ok...right etk and Ali?
The sweetness of this conversation is palatable to me! How lovely you are to reassure him. We should all be so lucky as to have someone like that in our lives.
I agree. It's better to keep him happy and assure him it's ok. You have to just roll with it, right? :)
Pups & I will hopefully have some healthy friends around if we get to that place in life....and hopefully they will tell us everything is ok.
You're parents are very lucky to have you, TT!
xo
rll:I do hope someone does that for me...if needed. I firmly believe that whatever we put 'out there' will come back to us. I keep trying to put some good out there. ;)
Alli: roll with it. That's it exactly. We just have to roll with it....why?....because 'it is what it is' ;)
Well played. Bravo.
Diane: ** bowing** thank you!
